Professional Profile: Society of Australian Teachers of Dancing


Society of Australian Teachers of Dancing
Established in 1945, the Society of Australian Teachers of Dancing (S.A.T.D.) has been running competitions and events for over 60 years, sponsoring amateur and professional competitors for amounts up to $40,000 each year for travel and accommodation to attend competitions on offer.
Current president Sue Hilyander, alongside secretary Lyn Evans and treasurer David MacFarlane work tirelessly with their fellow directors and team of volunteers to ensure the success of each event.

The upcoming 67th Australasian Championship boasts being the longest running national championship held in Australia.

S.A.T.D. is a member of the Australian Dancing Board, and has a vision for a new and exciting era of dancing.
